Angelfish come in a large array of colors, patterns and sizes that make them very appealing to all levels of hobbyists. Regal Angels are exquisite and colors will vary depending on where they are collected. It is best for the Regal to be the first fish introduces so they can establish their territory. This fish can be shy at first, so providing a lot of hiding places will help reduce its stress. They generally feed on a wide variety of algae, sponges, tunicates and other benthic organisms. The Regal Angel can grow to be about 10" in size. Full grown adults of this angel will need around 125 gallons; however, you can get away with smaller aquariums when they are juveniles. The Regal Angel can be found in the coral rich areas of lagoons and seaward reefs up to 25 meters of the Indo-Pacific. The Regal Angel has a yellowish body with white and white vertical striations. Their dorsal fin is primarily yellow while there are also distinctive blue and orange markings on the other fins.
