The spines on the peduncle (near that of the tail) are small in comparison to the other Tangs. They are a great option for a reef or fish-only aquarium. It needs a huge area to swim in with at least 125 gal aquarium. It shouldn't be kept in a tank that is populated by others species of Tangs because they can cause it to be trouble. It will be able to coexist peacefully alongside other Convict Tangs when all of them are added to the tank in the same way. Convict Tangs do not have distinct characteristics which help differentiate males and females. While Tangs can eat meaty foods, it's essential that they get ample amounts of seaweed that is marine-based and algae. This can boost the immune system and decrease aggression, and boost their overall health. Provide dried seaweed that is tied to a rock, or an organic clip and feed them at least three times a week. Sea Veggies, Seaweed Salad, and Ocean Nutrition are all ideal products that are user-friendly.
