Natural History: The Threadfin Blue Eyed Cardinalfish is usually found in shoals around stony corals in lagoon patch reefs. Their numbers may reach the thousands in a single shoal. It will roam at night to feed on benthic crustaceans, then return by day to the coral for safety.
Husbandry: Threadfin Blue Eyed Cardinalfish should be kept in groups of 5 or more in an aquarium, and only with other peaceful species. It is an excellent display species for a stony coral reef tank. This species should only be housed with peaceful tankmates.
